NORMAN, OKLA. – (July 8, 2008) – The new Luxaire® LX Series of air conditioners combines some of the best features of the premium Acclimate™ line with the MicroChannel coil technology pioneered in the Climasure™ Series.
With smaller footprints than the Acclimate™ line, the LX Series helps differentiate Luxaire products from competitive units. Cooling capacities range from 1.5 to 5 tons, and air-conditioning models offer 13 and 14.5 seasonal energy efficiency ratios (SEER). The 14.5 SEER model meets or exceeds the 2009 ENERGY STAR® requirements of 14.5/12.0 EER.
LX Series air conditioners combine MicroChannel coil technology with a compact footprint, making them a perfect fit in town homes, condominiums, zero lot line projects or any installation where space is limited. In fact, 13 SEER air conditioners feature one of the smallest footprints in the industry.
MicroChannel coil technology ensures superior durability – as much as seven times greater corrosion resistance compared with conventional coil technologies – making the units ideal for coastal applications.
MicroChannel coil technology also means that LX Series air conditioners offer excellent heat transfer performance and are easy to clean, service and repair. The units are 30 percent lighter than those that use standard coil technologies, and they use up to 50 percent less refrigerant (either R-410A or R-22). Sound levels, too, are improved: the 14.5 SEER model incorporates a compressor blanket and swept wing fan blade.
